Union City High School celebrates the Class of 2012! Congratulations!
More than 600 students graduated on June 19, 2012 from Union City High School in Union City New Jersey. Last year was a very special year for UCHS: the HSPA scores went up and it was mentioned in US News and World Report as one of the top high schools in the country. A true educational leader, John Bennetti took over the school last year and the results are palpable. Multiple academic and sports awards, a great ROTC program, a sense of pride that inspires teachers to follow Benetti’s lead, and his administration. This is all backed up one of the most aggressive technological training programs for teachers in the US, a high sense of community and humanism, and the freedom to encourage teachers to create their lessons in order to instill critical thinking skills and an emphasis on getting a well-rounded education. All with a strong partnership with the Union City Board of Education and Mayor Brian Stack and his commissioners. Congratulations Class of 2012!

Stack, Mayor of Union City and NJ State Senator. Stack couldn’t hide the pride and sense of achievement as he was the catalyst that made this great educational facility possible. Stack had big plans for Union City, and this high school must be one recognized as one of his greatest achievements. He has been the pivotal figure in making the high tech school a reality. The Union City Board of Education must take credit for hiring the teachers and administration which has placed Union City High School one of the top academic institutions in the country. On June 19, 2012 it all came together to celebrate our stars: our students second to none!
