The People have Spoken: Roque presents Recall Papers to WNY Town Clerk!

“Together We Can” takes one more step towards the Liberation of West New York

Dr. Felix Roque, Dr. Count Wiley and Chris LoPinto serve the final draft of recall papers to WNY Town Clerk, Ms. Carmela Ricci on Monday, June 8 2009 at WNY Town Hall.

Dr. Felix Roque and members of his Together We Can organization pose for our cameras before WNY mayor’s office moments after they presented Recall papers to Town Clerk, Carmela Ricci. Ms. Ricci has three days to approve the final draft of the recall effort, after which Together We Can will launch their troops to collect the needed 5,200 signatures. Dr. Roque’s organization has 160 days to collect the signatures.

Members of Dr. Roque’s organization Together We Can, proudly pose before WNY Town Hall moments before they entered town hall to present recall papers against Mayor Sal Vega and his commissioners. Vega has raised taxes 47% in less than two years in West New York and has managed to create a state of chaos by raising the deficit by 15.7 million dollars. Mayor Vega is also involved in a lawsuit where his former Chief Financial Officer has accused him of “sexual harassment”. Mr. Vega and his commissioner have called in the State of New Jersey to monitor their financial matters, in fact, stating with this action that they are incapable of running the city themselves. WNY Police Department has been politicized to the extreme that most of WNY’s Finest are unhappy with his administration. The streets of WNY are full of potholes, dirty and unsafe. The school system has also suffered from Mayor Vega’s lack of leadership, affecting West New York children’s education. Hundreds of WNY property owners are suffering from the staggering tax hikes and are in danger of losing their homes. The business community is also suffering and most West New Yorkers have lost respect for their Mayor.

  1. I had a great converse with Mr. Al Gomez that day. Mr. Gomez made me feel like there still is hope for West NY! You got my vote and my family’s.
