West New York Mayor, Silverio “Sal” Vega, who was first appointed then ran without an opponent, has sunk the town into a 15.7 million deficit and raised taxes 47%.
The citizens of WNY have taken the destiny of their city in their own hands The American Way: Fighting against tyranny.
Silverio “High Tax” Vega or “The Tyrant”, as he is commonly referred to in the streets of West New York, has raised taxes due to his “financial incompetence” and his lack of leadership. The leader of West New York, Dr. Felix Roque is on a mission to save the town from total disaster. He represents the David who has decided to take a stand against the bully: Sal Vega’s Political Machine.
Political machines are local dictatorships.
People like Sal Vega were brought into them.
When you join the political machine you also pay a ticket. You become a member and never a leader. You learn to “navigate” the highs and the lows of the political storms. Sal Vega has been a commissioner for almost two decades. He’s been in the Mary-Go-Around of the political interest festival for as long as we can remember.
Sal Vega is not a genuine leader.
He is the original copy of a Hudson County vintage puppet.
A leader has a one word and one direction.
Sal Vega doesn’t keep his word as a man-or a politician-and he changes directions as the political winds swing.
That’s why he can’t lead the city. That’s why WNY is in the state it is.
He will send his commissioners and friend$ all over town to convince WNY residents that this mess wasn’t his fault. He will do anything to justify that the tax increase wasn’t his responsibility. He will throw all the mud he threw in his last unsuccessful bid for public office at any honest man who confronts him in the free exercise of democracy.
That’s seems to be the nature of Sal Vega.
