Euronews: Ex-student blamed for German school shooting
A school shooting in Germany has left at least 16 people dead. The victims are reported to include nine students and three teachers at a secondary school in the town of Winnenden, not far from Stuttgart. Numerous other students have been wounded.
A further three people were killed after the gunman fled the scene: two in a shootout between the gunman and the police; and one at a different location.
Police say the gunman was killed, but there are conflicting reports about whether he shot himself or was shot by the police.
