West New York Residents say NO to Sal Vega’s Lack of Leadership!
“The Problem” will fire COPS!!!:
“Vega said, he is negotiating concessions with unions and finalizing plans to lay off as many as 60 of the town’s 350 employees. He is also considering additional layoffs in the Police Department, he said.”

WEST NEW YORK – When Susan Broking, 71, received the first quarter tax bill for her two-family house on Boulevard East on Wednesday totaling $5,991, she said her first thought was that she’d have to go without heat.
This time last year her bill was $3,823, she said.
“We will have to do without,” Broking said, who has owned her home for 30 years. “We have to pay our bills.”

Vega JUST DOESN’T GET IT! West New York Streets NEED POLICE OFFICERS, MORE POLICE OFFICERS! How can he take away our safety to salvage his political machine, his 100 Thousand a year FRIEN$? What is the rational answer: Sal Vega is no good for West New York!
West New York Sal Vega spells disaster as he raises Taxes up to 33% over and additional 20%, destroys trust in local government and announces the firing of up to 60 municipal employees! Meanwhile his political puppet$ get raises and most employees of The Board of Education and other local government departments realize Vega is NO LEADER!

Outraged West New York residents say ENOUGH to Sal Vega’s political machine that has raised up to 33% additional taxes that could add up to 53% in Tax Hikes in less little more than one year! Vega blames the former financial officer, he has blamed former administrations (that is himself because he’s been riding the political machine for 16 years). Sal Vega has no one else but himself to blame. He can point fingers until the bottle’s empty but West New York residents are not stupid: HE JUST CAN’T LEAD! He has inflicted pain and suffering in thousands of hard working people. He has sent his political machine puppets on a Wild West political letter rampage. He has promised to fix the potholes but REALITY IS that he can’t fix himself. When our site and the most popular publication in town: The Pulse of West New York predicted that he was going to raise taxes, Sal’s political friends said we didn’t know what we were talking about. Really? Sal Vega’s lack of leadership has created the worst crisis in the town’s history. While property owners suffer and the economic crisis hits most hard working, decent Americans Vega’s friends enjoy the grapes of political machine politics with juicy salaries and perks! Maybe the man who showed incredible disdain for his own community when he banned the Cuban Heritage Parade from West New York-Sal Vega was born in Cuba-thinks that the residents of West New York will quietly pay for his fiscal mess and bow their heads in submission. Ninety-Nine percent (9.9 %) of the Cuban-American voters, Cuban born or first generation Cuban-Americans, are aware of the signs of a wannabe dictator who ought to be ashamed of himself for escaping Communism to live in freedom and abuse the public trust to show no consideration for his own Cuban community, RAISING TAXES on the hard working people of West New York in order to increase his political allies salaries. He might be wrong this time. The BULLY might not get his way THIS TIME. This time the people are saying ENOUGH! Stop the madness of The Bully of West New York and his political friend$!

If you are against Sal Vega’s 27% property tax hike, lack of leadership, and fiscal irresponsibility you are invited to make your voice be heard in front of Dr. Felix Roque’s office at 211-60th St. Friday February 13th at 12:00 pm. The TV channels 47 and 41 will be present.

Yes, be at the Feb 18th Town Hall meeting at 7:00pm: But also, be at 211 60th Street on Friday, February 13th at 11:00am. ABC news will be there and a lot of outraged West NY Residents will be there. My taxes have doubled in 1 year. If forced to pay this last hike my husband and I will lose our home. Mayor Vega and John Mosca do not return phone calls or respond to letters. There should be an organized strike on paying these tax hikes and we should go back to paying the fair assessed amount. But this has to be done in an organized and legal way and we all have to ban together. We need to work together and take our city back from these incompetents. We need full disclosure on what our money is being spent on and nothing should be spent without our vote. This tax hike was announced, apparently, at a Town Hall meeting. This was done on purpose as these meetings are generally empty. Why didn’t Mayor Vega send us a letter at that time asking us if we agreed to this? Giving us more than 2 weeks to appeal? He didn’t because he wanted to back us all into a corner.
This man needs to be removed from office for gross negligence.

I agree VEGA needs to get out of WNY for good ! He is runing a town that had started to prosper under Sires……. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. He is considered a criminal in books.
