Cocaine, cash and Viagra in raid at Union City deli!

UNION CITY – There were everyday household items on the shelves, but out of most customers’ sight a city store owner was dealing cocaine and Viagra, police reports said.

Enrique Jimenez, 32, of 37th Street, owner of the La 37th Street Grocery at 420 37th St., was caught in a sting by the Union City Police Department Narcotics Unit and the Hudson County Municipal Task Force, reports said.

Undercover investigators had made drug purchases at the store, and on June 20 the bodega was raided, reports said.

In the raid, police recovered $19,000 in cash, 98 coin bags and eight large plastic bags of suspected cocaine, 363 Viagra pills and nine Cialis pills, reports said.

Jimenez was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance over half an ounce, distribution of drugs within 1,000 feet of a school and 500 feet of public property, and maintaining a narcotic nuisance.
