After spending one night in the “hospital”, Elecier has “tembleque”. His legs are shaking because he, well nothing….it must be that paranoia.

He claims he was taken to a clinic by the Political Police because he didn’t “feel well”. It’s obvious what happened. Now Cuba’s Communist propaganda machine plays its card one more time. This time this young man is the victim who is placed on television to say that he wants to construct Socialism. Really? Forty nine years “building” Socialism. In any case we did what was right: to call attention to his arrest. We felt that we have an abligation to report this violation of human rights since we have the freedom to do so. We are not surprised about the outcome of this situation. We anticipated that he was going to be in Mesa Redonda, Cuba’s Communist Official TV Show, saying how great Socialism is. At least we feel that all who reported on his arrest prevented something worse that usually occurs when news organizations fail to report what happens in Cuba.
