The mainstream media- whose spokesman, Miguel Cossio, challenges us on our journalistic integrity and our education, which we have- is angry at blogs because the advertisement industry exerts no control over us and we expose their manipulation of the news, such as their five part report on “documentaries” like “The Secrets of Fidel” and all the commercial crap they air on their nightly news. Cossio’s intervention in the incredible Nuevo Herald- a publicaction known for bashing the Cuban community and selecting a piñita of so-called writers and soothsayers, such as Andres Oppenheimer, who predicted the fall of castro 20 years ago WAO!, to bestow us their sacred views- is a reflection of the media status quo, and it only shows the insecurity of those who make their living selling the news rather than reporting it.
